The Scientific Committee of the First International Conference on Energy and Sustainable Environment, which will be held by the Engineering Faculty at Israa University in partnership with several national and international institutions, met at the University's Continuing Education Hall inorder to agree on the dates of the conference preceding activities.

They agreed that the deadline for submitting research abstracts should be until 30 November 2017 and the acceptance of abstracts is in 31^st December 2017. The deadline for receiving full papers is in 31^st January 2018, and Conference events will be in 14-15 April 2018.

Scientific Committee Chairman, Dr. Abdel-Fattah Qurman explained that the conference aims to provide solutions and proposals for sustainable energy and environment problems locally and internationally through an applied scientific perspective to establish the concept of sustainability.

{The committee agreed that the conference includes three main Topics: the first one is "energy" (energy and renewable energy, energy conservation techniques, energy systems, green and intelligent architecture, fuel, energy conversion and storage). The next topic is "environment" (climate change, global warming, environmental protection, environmental sustainability, waste treatment, environmental data and information management, drinking water treatment, sanitation, air pollution and soil). The third one is "Planning and Legislation", which includes environmental energy policies and legislation, geographic information systems for energy and environmental planning, education and extension in energy and environment use, energy and environmental sustainability (economically and politically), plans and strategies for energy use, and urban and regional planning.}
